About Me
John Mantratzis was born in Veria, Greece, in 2001. He attended the Music School of Veria (Junior & Senior High School), where he graduated from in 2020. That same year, he got accepted at the University of Macedonia, in the Department of Music Science and Art. Along with his academic studies, he received the Classical Guitar Diploma from the Macedonian Conservatory (class of Fotis Baxes) and the Classical Harmony Diploma from the Philippos Nakas Conservatory (class of Vassilis Kitsos). He also received Vocal Technique lessons for five years. From an early age, he showed his interest in film music. He attended the “Film Scoring Program” at Philippos Nakas Conservatory under Iannis Anninos, Berklee graduate (B.A. in Film Scoring) and former teacher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (School of Film). Ever since, he is engaged with composing for films.
